San Diego's progressive power-duo, PettyCash, consists of Steven Anthony (guitars, vocals, lyrics) and James G (drums, percussion, keys, vocals, lyrics). With a strong and growing fan-base, the band is known for combining an intense and energetic atmosphere of rock, metal, hip-hop and ballads for all types of music lovers. The band's following is also known for accumulating large bar-tabs and tipping very well! With raw power and talent, mixed with changing time signatures, adrenaline, and damn good looks, youve got to see this 2 man show! PettyCash has performed in venues such as The Garage in Hollywood, Coconut Teaszer in L.A. on the strip and many other rock-hot-spots in San Diego, including Dream Street, The Boulevard, Brick by Brick & The Blarney Stone to name a few. PettyCash formed in San Diego in ~April of 2000, comprising of Steven Anthony, James G, Will (Squidd) Camacho and Paul Lee Crouch. Paul was taken from us in a fatal car accident in August of 2001. After this unforeseen tragedy, the three remaining members vowed to keep the music going, as Paulee would have wanted them to do. His undeniable love for life and living it to its fullest has been more than just inspiration for P$. Then, toward the middle of 2002, other obligations pulled Squidd from the band, leaving the two founding members. This inherent change took Steven and James back to their roots...

Steven Anthony and James G have played together for over 10 years (with a 2 year hiatus) in Michigan as the 2-man band, Eminent Persuasion. After dozens of fruitless tryouts for other musicians to join, EP stayed a very energetic and technical duo. There was even a short span of time when they combined their efforts with two gals to form Scarlett, playing local clubs in Kalamazoo, MI and more prestigiously at Western Michigan University's 1995 Bronco Bash with more than 18,000 in attendance. Never losing site of their initial goal, Eminent Persuasion produced their first CD in 1998 Straight from the Asthenosphere.  Success with that album was short lived, as EP came home from a 2 ½ month coast-to-coast road trip broke, tired, and without a recording contract. So starts the 2 year hiatus...

James G played in a Michigan band gigging the Detroit area and Steven Anthony was living in Chicago. In April of 2000, a few phone calls transpired between hometown friends Paulee, Steven and James. They found out all three of their apartment leases were up on the same day! Within a month, S & J were in a Ryder truck, again tooling across the continent, to move into The Mustang Ranch in San Diego, CA with Paulee. Many more fruitless tryouts with wannabe rockstars transpired in Cali, then S&J coerced Paulee to join the group with his intense energy as front-man. Shortly after, they acquired Paulee's bass-guru co-worker, Squidd.
